BOV horror story thats gotton worse PLEASE HELP
If you didnt read my past post before i had just recently installed a PES BOV at my local performance shop. It worked fine at first untill i was punching it on the highway and i felt a little jerk in the boost and when i pulled of the highway and thats when i noticed all of my boost making a continual whooshing sound after 3500 rpm
(My blow off valve doesnt release to atmosphere so it shouldnt do that.) I then went back to the shop and we tightned clamps and played around with the stock BOV and the PES BOV and they were both making the sound. Finally we tightned the clamp on the intercooler hose and put the clamp on the exact posistion it sat before and it worked fine. Today i was driving on the way to work and everything was fine. After work i was driving pretty hard again and I cant hear the noise but i noticed my cars boost was diminishing again after 3500 rpm. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME.
i dont have a boost gauge so i dont know what the
F*** is going on with my car. Thanks

Did you check your vac lines like brian said?
The stock black mesh line that runs from the top of the intake manifold (line closest to you) to the bypass valve is weak. After 35k on some cars they erode and become brittle perhaps due to weathering in some areas. They are under pressure. What you need to do is more troubleshooting and change out the vac lines - at least the above mentioned one. Upgrade to slicone lines. It sounds like there is a very tiny hole and you're not leakin' untill heavy boost hits. Silicone lines will pay for themselves in the long run and are inexpensive anyway.
If that doesn't solve your problem then call PES.

some other guy posted a while back about a BOV he installed...
and swore it was not releasing boost into the atmosphere...I'm not familiar with the PES valve. I went off of his post.

Agree, that also could have a potential hole. Hey Ed..
Did you ever change or move your intake hose? From inside the engine, if you follow it, it looks like it almost disappears into nowhere!

??? No, it's there. APR has a custom intake hose that runs..
from the MAF to the turbo. The turbo sits forward of the manifold, as opposed to the K03, which sits aft. The disappearance is an optical illusion.

Yeah..
(I was just thinking about having to blindly pull the hose out.)
The hose runs from the MAF to the turbo...Ok.
Will this work with the stock turbo's or only the gt due to the mounting?
