brown 2-pin connector behind center console. Not the brown one that connects to radio
After tearing up my center console I was putting everything back together and I found a unused 2 pin brown connector. I didnt know what it did and I dont know what color the wires were since it was wrapped up in friciton tape. I just left it off and now am having problems with the parking brake light. It is always on. I just moved my Turbo timer to the cup holder position and ran wires from the rear console. I hooked up a black wire which was connected to a ground and also a brown (not white-brown) wire. This is exactly how the turbo timer was before.

my guess is that it's the plug for the switch under your parking brake?
I think I remember one there on my '96 when I did the evap & heater core change. Pull it up and see is the only suggestion I can give you... the wire long enough to reach your parking brake?
