Default Burned by warranty gold - should I buy another warranty?

Well as you all know warranty gold isn't paying anything for account holders of pre July 03. I had 1 claim during that period of $800 for 1 control arm. The plan was about $1300. In the last two months I could have used it on a new throttle body and water pump housing but will have to pay those out of pocket. Am I being naive or should I just skip the warranty all together?

Are there any extended warranty companies that have all of their assets and all of the companies they deal with in the USA? If I do go with another warranty it must have all it's assets and dealings in the usa.

Any suggestions or insight?

Default I have them too...

Is there any refund or similar recourse? I should call them up and find out what the deal is.

Default There are several owners of A4s and S4s on AW in the same boat. I'm thinking of going with

AWB who, if you sign-up for a quote online and provide your email, they'll send you rebates.

Mine is now up to $200 off with a 0% interste rate on a payment plan. I don't think it goes any higher than this.

IIRC, it's $2115 for a 25 ded. for 5/100k. So, you can get their best plan for $1915.

Default thanks for the link, i was f*ck'd by Warranty Gold too, (S4). paid in full.

should have been good until 9/09 or 100k. never again will i pay for an extended warranty in full, unless it's directly offered by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
will sell my wife's A4 when the factory warranty expires.

agreed. that's why I'm going with the payment plan. If it goes belly-up, I stop paying.

That's a good idea... you might want to bring it up with them... if they did offer a discount i bet we could get a lot of people... so long as they allow monthly payments
