it only has to be a 1.8t
 

fwd vs. q is irrelevant
tip vs. manual is essentially just a couple bits set in the ECU programming.

though, if you've got a tip, i suggest you get the GIAC tip chip to go along with the ECU upgrade

As long as it's a 1.8T.
