Ding ding ding....
that is the reason (or one of) why I've been chasing my FREAKING RICH condition. My air pump is wigging out and not pumping enough air.
But no one in Bentley does it mention this. You really have to know how systems work and what they do and why they do it sometimes to do proper diagnosis.

On my 98.5 the SAI will run even after the engine has been on for a while...
happens in the fall and winter a lot.. Dunno if it's supposed to or not, but it seems 'happy', and no MIL..

Rob, how did you diagnose that the SAI was not operating up to spec?
I'm kind of following your lead w/ my rich condition (hope you don't mind). Anyway to do this other than a dealer trip? Thx,
