Default Can't seem to find the answer to this. 01' non-sport ride height vs. stock sport ride height...

The reason I ask is, if I put in lowering springs (H&R/Vogtland for ex.) will I even be lowering my car? Will the ride height be the same as my stock sport susp?
Seems the drop w/ non-oem sport springs is anywhere from a 1" -2" drop. But those #'s are for the cars that come w/ the non-sport susp, right?
Am I crazy to think that i'm already about 1.5 lower than the non-sport setup in the 01'? When I first saw the stock non-sport, I thought it had a lift kit in it!

H&R sport is almost the same as OEM sport, unless you get groved shocks.

Default yeah the non-sport is a monster truck...

you are a bit lower than the stock non-sport, however, still a bit higher than most prefer. If you install aftermarket sport springs with non-adjustable shocks, you'll be pretty high still. Some people like it, some prefer to be lower.

It really depends on how much you want to spend on your suspension. If you can do suspension installs yourself, I'd suggest going with the Bilstein grooved shocks and race springs. You'll get a good variance of heights depending on the perches you set your shocks. The only problem with this is you'll have to disassemble the suspension each time you want to change the perches.

If you want to spend a little more, get coilovers. This is the easiest way to get the perfect ride height. A used set in the classifieds will go for about the same price as a new set of springs/shocks anyway, so this is the route I'd recommend.

Default The non-sport stock ride height is .75" higher than the sport ride height.,

You'll need to do some careful research on each brand and model of spring out there. I pulled the following from the Induktion web site (4induktion.com):

H&R Sport Springs lower the car 1.25" in the front and 1" in the rear from the stock non-sport height or .5" in the front and .25" in the rear from the stock sport height.

H&R Race Springs lower the car 1.9" in the front and 1.5" in the rear from the stock non-sport height or 1.15" in the front and .75" in the rear from the stock sport height.

Induktion doesn't carry the Vogtlands, but PureMS does. PureMS doesn't say what their lowering measurements mean, but from the data they present in the applications and specs section for the H&R springs, their data is for stock non-sport. If the Vogtland numbers are done the same way, that would produce the following for the Vogtlands:

Vogtland Sports, 1.5" from non-sport and .75" from sport.

Vogtland Club Specs, 1.4" from non-sport and .65" from sport.

So, yes, the popular aftermarket springs do lower more than the stock sport springs do.
