Default Car Alarm again anything other than VAG-COM Any ideaswhy this happens?

Currently the key-less entry doesnt work on my key and when I get out of my car and lock the door with the key the usual beep will go off and the alarm is set. When I come back after some time I'll put in the key and unlock the door but the alarm will stay on and if I open the door the alarm will go off and I cant get in or start my car without taking out the fuse for the alarm (also fuse for windows and lower lamps). The weather is getting nice and I'm a window and not a A/C person and I like the lights at night when they turn on when getting out of the car. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions or know what is going on?

Thanks

-Chris

Yes, everything works fine until I unlock after setting the alarm and open the door.

What if you unlock from the passenger side? Or is there no lock there?

Default 1. Check trunk for water intrusion.

2. Take off the drivers door panel and check signal from the door latch to the CLM. IIRC, the module gets the unlock signal from the door latch. However, the arm alarm comes from inside the module ( IE, lock all door=set alarm. )

Default Unlock from trunk....

Turn key 2wice to the left.

Just a temporary solution. I have the same problem and I'm on my 2nd CLP. Don't have a VAG-COM either. Does anyone know where the relay for the alarm is located? Is there one?
