2013 ttmk2 tdi black edition. car alarm goes off randomly. sometimes stops and goes back to ok. alarm and flashers. tried slamming doors and bonnet and boot. wd40 bonnet sensor, boot clasp and door clasps to hope the stuff reaches a sensor.
some days doesnt go off at all, but is getting worse.

This also happens with my '97 B5, although not as frequently as yours. On a quiet day in my driveway, without any nearby vibration or noise, the alarm will randomly go off, or sometimes at work. I can only imagine that it's from some type of radio frequency interference?

Maybe someone will shed some light on this.

On my 98 there is a little red button/switch on the inside door column between the driver and rear doors. If it is in or lit wind will set off my alarm when the windows are partially opened. If switched off that doesn't happen. Your cars are newer but take a look in the operators manual to see if there is the same type of switch somewhere.

Check the module in the passenger rear of the trunk. You might have a water leak that is getting your module wet.
Happened to mine. Had to replace taillight seal.
