CEL...what could be the problem?

CEL...what could be the problem?
I don't have a CEL but i decided to vag my car yesterday and i pulled the code P0121 Throttle/Pedal Pos.Sensor A Circ Range/Performance (G69) implausible signal. What does this mean?

TPS is probably worn
The sensor is a bit like a volume control that senses the throttle position. After many years of use, the track can wear (especially if the throttle spends a lot of time in a smaller range), resulting in erratic readings (hence this code shows up).
Other possibility is a loose connection between the ECU and the sensor.
