Center console removal! Can't get climate control off / out
Almost got the center console removed, but it seems that something near the ashtray or the climate control is restricting me from removing it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciate it. Btw: its a an 2000 model, with the symphony head unit.

not screws, clips
There's some old threads from Greyhound guy regarding this.
Basically, you need to stick a flat screwdriver in at the top of the CC and bottom of the CC (Centered under the heated seat switches, if you have them) and pop one side of the CC out, then the other.
You can see the top clips if you look carefully, there's an identical set below the CC, put a screwdriver in between the ashtray and the CC...
HTH.

Removed mine last night... on my 98.5
1st off, did you remove the rear console yet? And are you trying to get the actual climate control unit out of the dash? I only removed the consoles, so I don't know if any of this will help, but there was a "hidden" nut on the driver side of the front console near the gas pedal kinda. You have to remove a small plastic cover to get to it, then work the console over the bolt.
Let me know where you are at in the removal..
