I wanted to give ya'll an update on what happened;
Replaced that for $450. Also got an oil change (oil light will not go off for some reason though - any ideas?) and a few other things that popped up ($$$).
All things considered, she's done pretty well for her age! I'm so happy with my car! LOTS of LOVE for Audi.

If you are going keep the car it is worth it to get a VAG-COM and Bentley manual. Will save you money in the long run to do some of your own maintenance

I recently had a similar issue with my 2006 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro. When trying to accelerate in high rev situations (~3k revs/min) up a hill or passing someone on the freeway, I would see a drop on the tachometer, the engine would shake, and I wouldn't the the power I expected. The first time the check engine light flashed, but went away. The next time it stayed on. I bought a Autel MaxiScan MS300 DTC reader ($17 on amazon), read P304 (misfire on the 4th cylinder), replaced the ignition coil (less than 5 minute job after viewing a youtube video), and no longer have the issue.
My question is how would you know if the issue was the spark plug or the ignition coil? Replace each one at a time and retest?
Also, do ignition coils need to be changed at regular intervals just like spark plugs? I have no idea when the ignition coils were last changed, should I just change out the other 3 as well?
Thanks!
