Default Chip and 2 piece Halogen/Xenon lights for 1997 2.8Q

I just bought a 1997 A4 2.8 Quattro from the dealer (44k miles and $15,600. The car is absolutely flawless, even if it IS stock.) I'm going to start in on mods soon and the first two things I want are a chip and new headlights. What seems to be the consensus on the best chip for this car, in terms of raw pwer? Also, does anyone know where I can get either halogen or xenon lights (without cutting sheetmetal) to replace the 2 piece lights that come stock? I would be REALLY interested in some smoke colored lenses (similar to the TT's) if they are out there. Any help?

Default Chips really dont do a lot for the 2.8. The best lighting option is the E-Code headlights...

You can check with AWE Tuning or SPP for those. You will have to trim part of your fender but its not that big of a pain in the ***. You could get a xenon kit to put in your headlights too. As for as smoked goes....The only thing that comes smoked for your car is the square sidemarkers.

Default Can we PLEASE be done with this myth?......For the 347th time.....

A CHIP IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH DOING ON A 2.8. PERIOD.

Honest.

No really.

Pinky swear.

Although it doesn't matter in his case since there is no chip for a 12V 2.8

=)

Default nice!!! Two 10's sounds awesome.....I actually tried two 10's......

but I wasn't happy with the amount of trunk space it took up, so I exchanged it for a single 12

Default I love how the 1.8 guys are so quick to dismiss the 2.8 chip...

and if you talk to most 2.8 guys with a chip they say it was worth it.
