Clutch slips only when the car is cold
Hi,
I have a very weird problem, my clutch slips when the car really cold like in the morning, then does not slip after about a 70km drive.
This is very weird and it does not slip badly only under boost load.
When it does stop slipping, I have tried everything to get it to slip like pulling off in 3rd or short changes until 5th and then loading the engine, I have even tried climbing a hill with short changes then loading the engine and it will not slip.
I dont have symptoms of a worn clutch like finding it difficult to select gears or having it slip all the time after its hot, the clutch got changed about 50k km's ago and I do not abuse my clutch at all, my previous clutch lasted 180k km's.
What could be the issue here? I have tried to bleed the system and it fixed the issue for 2 days and then it was back to slipping again in the mornings.
When I drive the car for the first time in the afternoon when its hot, then it does not slip at all.
I am sure someone here is a genius when it comes to these cars and can help me to pin point this frustrating issue.

Sounds like what I went through. Rear main seal on engine was intermittently leaking oil onto the flywheel and the clutch would slip.
I changed the not even half worn clutch when I changed the rear main seal.
Had I known what it was I would probably taken my chances and left it alone.

Thanks for the reply, I thought that my car was the only B5 with this isssue, did your car leak oil on the ground?
Mine doesn't, I took the bellypan off to see if it is leaking but it isn't.
