Default cold start question

i know its been discussed before but i have been unable to find an exact answer. i am currently in binghamton and every morning when i start my car my temp reads below 20 degrees (F). should i be letting my car warm up in neutral or should i drive it immediately, i dont want to do anything that will hurt the car. up until now (about 2 weeks)i have been waiting until my heat starts getting warm and then start driving.
thanks for any info.

Default I would let it warm up for a minute or two and then drive off slowly, like shifting under 3000 rpm

until the temp reads normal.

Default i've always just drived away after start...

and have done so for 5 years and 140Kmi. with no ill efects. but do let it get warmed up before you do any high performance work.

Default ditto.....sometimes I cheat that down to 30 sec warm up, shift as close to 2K as possible

but 3K shouldn't hurt anything, and I don't have any hills to climb so I don't need power.

Default You should let it warm up for at least a minute or two in the cold weather ..........

just to make sure the oil is warm and flowing nicely through the engine and the turbo. Then take it easy for the first mile or so just to be safe. You should always let non-turbo cars warm up a bit too.

Should start driving immediately, but take it easy (I think it even states that in the owners manual
