Default control arm recall

I just got off the phone with AoA cust. service re: another issue and I asked them about the so-called control arm recall... She told me that this is just a rumour and at this point, there is no truth to it..

Default As I recall, the original message said

that the customer service people would not be informed of/authorized to discuss it until it was official several months from now. I haven't really been following the updates, so I'm not sure if that still stands, but it certainly makes sense that if its details are still being worked out by management then word would not have filtered down to the front line folks yet.

Regards,
Rodney

Default Whoops, misread the original...

I'm having the brake booster and tie rod recall done. Called in to get the 45k service, and they said they would do the other recalls as well. I love my dealership!

Default Yes...

Audi Advocates will not talk about the recall until it is officially announced. Uniti then, AoA is selectively calling owner with past control arm issues or that have complained loud enough and fixing them.

Default Re: control arm recall

The recall has started. I have scheduled my 96 A4 for the end of this month. It's just in time, because my boot at the end of my tie rod is broken. Thank God for this recall!
