On another note, how did you adjust yours vertically? I looked at the FAQ but am too lazy to do tha

so I just aimed them by eye. I'm not sure if I'm blinding oncoming cars though...

hahaha...me too! aimed it by eye, its horrible. vertically is...inside one i think.

1 is correct. I set mine to 2...

... it helps light up road signs on the sides of the road. Just make sure that the low part of the passenger side beam is not any higher than the high part of the drivers side beam. You need to aim them on level ground. Check the pattern at two distances from a wall and the beam pattern should be the same. If it changes, you have diverging beams and this is not good as light will be shining everywhere at a distance and not focused on the road.
