DBW coilpack ignition question...

what exactly controls the coilpack ignition in the 2000, 2001 cars? Is there a relay or power pack?

There is a control unit for triggering the coils. Called the 'Power output stage for ignition

coils'. On the 99.5 and < it is mounted on top of the air box. Not sure if it lives there on the 00 - 01.5 MY.

Apparently, on the '00-'01.5...

...it's been integrated into each coilpack. This is what the tech told me when I took my car in for the problem.

Could well be .. the ETKA shows a seperate part for the 00-01 but in a different 'location' than the

<'00
