Dealer service frustration--Just venting I guess...
 
Yesterday, my CEL comes on, steady, not blinking, so I keep driving and take it over to the dealership to check it out. They end up telling me that it is all due to my ECU modifications and that the problem will not be covered. They gave me a copy of the computer print-out (Bank 1 Sensor 2, internal resistance to large; Bank 1, mixture adaptation, system too lean). I'm told that they checked one of the O2 sensors and that it checked out fine. I'm out ~$80 for the diagnostic service, and sent on my way. Once home, I leave the engine running, pop the hood, hear a loud hissing sound and easily find a hole in the hose that runs along side the intake manifold! The dealership has agreed to look at this Monday, and if they agree that hole could have caused the CEL, then they'll reimburse me the ~$80 and replace the hose.
MY BEEF--the "lazy" tech couldn't have had the hood up when the car was running--that hiss was way too loud for even me to miss. Do they now simply reley entirely on the VAG unit and not do hands on inspections any more?

Ahh....yes the dealer frustrations when u under warranty...
 
Things will get waaaaaaay better when your warranty runs out and you don't have to deal with the dealership people.
This is if u are a person that has some tools and has the "know how" about your car and can do lite repairs on your car.
Just think, AW is the other dealership that helps you with repairs....
