Default difficult to shift into reverse, plus grinding

so i just had a clutch job done on my car because my throwout release bearing was bad and there were rattles and grinds coming from my transmission. alongside these issues was my reverse gear, which is sometimes really difficult to get into and makes some weird noises. when i accelerate in reverse, theres a slight grinding noise that builds up, but then when i let off the gas theres a louder grind that goes on and off. I thought this issue would be resolved with the clutch and throwout bearing, but it's still there. does anyone have any idea what's happening?

Take it back to the shop that did the work and have them ride with you and explain what it is. Do it soon, if it is not right you want to have it resolved before it does damage.

my only concern is that the clutch and bearing job was expensive as it is, and i really dont want to have to drop the whole transmission again

If they did not do the job correctly it should be their responsibility. Or, you could wait too long and have something go bad and possibly pay twice for the job.
