Dirty things

My throttle body has not been cleaned in 110,000 mi, obviously.

What's causing all the gunk to build up around it? Other areas of the engine bay are dirty, but this peice seems to be oily as well as particularly dirty:

Looks just like a bad seal on the inlet hose... did you check the hose clamp tension?

Actually, I've had that hose come off completely before - thanks, I will tighten it.
