Lower door moulding

Lower door moulding
I recently bought a car to fix up. It doesn't have any lower door moulding. I need all four doors. The clips are there. Just no moulding. I saw a kit on ebay for all 4 doors. It was like 80 bucks. Has anyone tried these? How well do they look? I am thinking of painting them before installing. Who else has them?
Also I have a black button located on the inside of the B pillar. That looks like a car with a wifi signal in it. What is this for?

ECSTuning sell the genuine mouldings, but they're around $250 for the set. I'm sure I've seen them on special at some time, so could be worth watching.
They're a rubber moulding with a natural satin black finish, so be aware of that if you intend to paint them.
I'm pretty certain it disables the internal motion sensor (in case you need to leave a pet inside, or want to leave the windows or sunroof ajar on warm days).
The alarm still arms on the door lock switches etc.
