do they make a bigger alternator for the 1.8T...my alternator is not keeping up with...
my electric fan kit. its holding at 12volts (barely) with lights on/fogs/and fan running. but it will only be a matter of time before it kills the alternator or the battery.
I can always run without the fogs but thats not the point...I want to be able to use all my accessories. and not have to worry about if the alternator is going to keep up with it or not. anybody know what kind of amps our stock alternator is and if they make a bigger one?
I think the EFK is more trouble than its worth...higher oil temps and it pulls too many amps for the alternator.

YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you've got the same kit i do...ko4 w/ 310cc..
i know this has nothing to do with your q but what fpr are you running??
I cant get this kit to work at all
for your charging try running a 4 gauge from the alt to starter and then to the batt...also make up a 4 gauge monster crimp (thery're bigger than the standard 4) with 3 eights crimped in it...bring one to the ground tap on the head...one to the intake manifold and one to the stock grounding point under the coolant bottle...
save yourself the money on a HYPERGROUND (oooo) system

Depends on what 310cc injectors your using.
If this is the PC-16 file, it is tuned for RC 310's but even then it ran pretty rich in the midrange. Best thing is to run a adjustable fpr just around 2.6-2.8 bar depending on if you have the RC's or the higher flow bosch 310cc redtops.

sorry for the delayed repsonse...I wasn't around this weekend...
You need a 3BAR FPR w/ the 310 Injectors. I know I had to find out the hard way too. I had my adjustable 5-Bar FPR and I was running ultra rich when I had my Adjustable in cuz I didn't know where to run it. So I called up evoms and they said just pop in the 3BAR. You will still run FAT in the mid range....but its better than running lean!
