does anyone know of any follow up on the wet braking issues?

i've got a '00 1.8t avant with zimmerman x-drilled rotors and minitex red box pads. a few months ago, i got the wet breaking problem in a major way. I've already looked over the results from older posts. here's my info. pads are no longer champfered. worn about 1/3. rotors are in fine condition. i've got lolas which have a pretty open spoke pattern. i never had this problem with my OEM pads and rotors but i also didn't have it while the minitex pads and x-drilled rotors were new. I did put some champfer on the pads when i put them in but it's all gone now. obviously, the problem is not just an aftermarket repercusion because plenty of OEM A4s feel the problem. would everyone post their experiences with this problem, including when they first noticed it, what their pads, rotors, and wheels are, and the year of their car? let's try to get to the bottom of this stupid problem.

That sucks. That is suppose to improve it. BTW my greyhound's name is Bing. :-)

Are you familiar with the new kit that Audi has to address this issue?

It consists of some plastic or rubber "flaps" that get installed under the car in front of the front wheelwell area. Not sure if this has "cured" the problem, but a few folks on the Forum here have had the parts installed. Sorry, I don't know the part number of the kit.

Seems to have worked for me, not quite 100% effective braking though.

Still I feel a bit of a lag, but much better than before when I had almost no brakes! You're right, they are little flaps (sort of like the Jetta splashguards) made of hard plastic.
