it doesnt end...
a friend of mine with a 05 a4 3.0 totaled his audi today..
new driver rich family...took the quattro for granted and hit a right curve doin about 50-70mph with icy roads...fliped twice and got stopped by a tree..broken pelvis and leg...today was not a good day for audis...thank god hes alive

Took quattro for granted? quattro will actually hurt you if you are stupid...
you have so much more ability to GO, but the same ability to STOP or TURN as all the other cars. What you end up with is, you are able to go WAY too fast for the conditions WAY too easily.

Glad he is ALIVE....No more AUDIs for this kid though, I beg his rich family to grow common sense.
Rich and young + Exspensive car = trouble and or death..... Save the Audi's for those who make their own payments on them or buy them out right.

Disagree. Let the parents who can afford to buy their kids one of the safest cars do so...
Just force them to teach the kid responsibility, and how to drive. Dont' expect the driver's ed class to suffice. Send them to a school or something.
I learned how to drive through trial and error, but I have been operating moterized vehicles since I was 12 (dirt bike) and driving tractors and trucks since 13. You don't hand a 16 or 17 year old who has no concept of what can go wrong the keys to a car like an A4 with no training and expect all will be well.

However, if I had the money, I'd definitely want my child to have the 'Learn responsibility in a safe car' scenario than 'Learn to earn money to buy something, get hit by a drunk driver in a crappy car, and die' scenario.
