Driver side mirror cracked - Just the mirror, not housing - How much to replace?

Can you get the glass out? (first post here)
I'm not familiar with your mirror (yet, I'm buying an A4), but I was an engineer at Donnelly, where we made 90% of the worlds automotive mirrors. Some mirrors come apart with special tools, or prying in a certain direction, or with a simple screwdriver from below. Take the plastic carrier out, and unplug the heater. The heater and glass are usually attached by double-sided tape, in layers. Solvents and patience should get that apart, I did this on my 200. New glass is pretty simple, just buy a bigger replacement piece from an auto parts store and sand the edges down. A belt sander works best, I clamp mine upside down in a work table, and hold the glass in gloved hands. Just sand the edges lengthwise, gradually shaping it.

While we're on the subject...

my drivers side mirror is starting to rust for some reason. Anyone here with the Euro spec convex blind spot mirror glass? Just wondering if it's worth the $$.
To answer yourk's question the euro mirror is about $63.00 from PureMS and is the heated one so that's probably the high end of what you can expect to pay.
Also, does anyone have a writeup on changing the mirror glass? I'm just curious how it's done.

PureMS mirror
