Driveshaft problem?

About two days ago, I noticed a steady "clicking" sound coming from the center of the car (98.5 A4 Q-tip). It seems to be directly below the rear ashtray. It goes away at times, but always comes back. The repetition of the clicks seems to be wheel speed related, but it isn't always that way. Could this be an issue with the driveshaft? There is no fluid leak, but there is a little bit of seeping. Thanks,

You might want to check the motor & trans mounts first. The driveshafts are fairly solid on these cars. It could be a heat shield or a piece of plastic.
