Default E-brake question...(HELP!)

If my e-brake keeps my car from rolling ONLY when it's pulled ALL THE WAY UP...what is the problem? My assumptions:
- I need an e-brake adjustment
- rotors already been machined to the max
- brake fluid low???
- need to replace my rear rotors?

Also, if it's not pulled all the way, it makes that SQUEAKING\CREAKING sound (similar to the sound your brakes make when at a complete stop and you slowly lift your foot off the brake pedal)

What to do!!! help please...thanks!

Default I would say adjust the e-brake cable

or time to just change out the rear rotors. It does not have anything to do with the brake fluid since it is controlled by a cable to the rear caliper. You might want to check to see how worn your rear pads are.

Default needs adjusted...

any recent brake work? is the car relatively new?? The cable can stretch slightly over time, and there is an adjuster located under the center of the car to tighten it. If recent brake work was done, its likely the ebrake clamps were not installed properly. Of course, the thinner your pads and rotors, the more your ebrake handle will pull. The ebrake doesnt work via brake fluid- its a cable. The tension is off, either at the brake itself, or in the tensioner under the car.

Default Thanks for the advice fellas...(more info)

I did have them replace my rear pads. The shop said they were going to machine my rear rotors as well, but they were too low...SO they just removed the glaze off the rotors. When I got my oil changed a few weeks later, the guy said my brake fluid was low... I guess I better take it back to get checked. IF I need new rear rotors, what brand do you all suggest?? thx.
