In a nutshell, Fourier transform lets you take a physical process and convert it back and forth betweent the time and frequency domain. h(t) and H(f) respectively. bleh!

And Laplace transform is a tool to solve difficult differential equations into simple algebra problems.
it used if for initial value problems and such. double bleh!
