Eletrical System Problem.

Eletrical System Problem.

Well I hope someone can stear me in right direction.

I have an 1997 Audi A4 FWD, V6, Leather and CD etc.. I sent my car to be detailed like i do every year and when I received the car back there were a few problems.
1) Central Locking system does not work at all. either with Key in the door or Remote
2) Interior light do not go on when you open the doors. ( Work with manual press of buttons)
3) Power windows do not work
4) Moon roof does not work.

Everything else on car works fine AC/Radio/ Headlights, parking lights and blinkers.

I gave it back to the deatialing place and they are clueless as all the fuses are good.

Anyone have any clues on what the problem is?

did they take out the rear seat?

there should be a red electrical plug under there, it must have been disconnected

Well I took the seat out (bench) and I saw a red connector connected to a little siler box . I guess it is a controll modual. It was connected. I unpluged it and repluged it back in and nothing

Anymore help would be great.

OK Guys I found out what the problem was. It is called a body / Convenience module. I talk to a guy who fixed a hole bunch of flood damage VW's and he said that module controls all the problems I am having. They are the same in the Passads and A4s. Other modules control the seat ect.. This place knows what they are doing. If only the windows did not work and moon roof did etc then it would be somehting else. I will keep you posted. It is going to get repaired this week.
