Engine code for the 1.8T?

I did a search and there seems to be some confusion, because apparently it changed. How would I figure this out? (like sr20det, or rb26dett)

Actually I think the motor has a # of its own.

I think the AEB part might be the part # for the head. I even think there is 2 versions of the block for the non dbw.

Don't know about that. Everything in the Bentley's and ETKA seem to revolve around the AEB

designator. The unique engine serial number will be AEBXXXXXXXXXX, rather like the transmission carrying it's code plus a serial number. Except for non NA engines I've only seen AEB and ATW for the 1.8t in the B5 chassis. I don't have any documentation for designators in the B6.
