Engine Stall while driving...

Was getting on the Mass Pike heading to Springfield and in the middle of the on ramp my 99.5, 2.8 5spd stalls in 3rd gear traveling about 20 mph. My question is what could of caused this. I also am having an issue with my engine jerking while driving but doesn't stall. Just looking for some input before I bring it to Audi...Still under warrenty.

Could be fuel delivery problem from a bad fuel pump

Suppose I should see about getting the fuel filter changed first...

Thats a good place to start....

My old 95 90 was doing the same thing and it was the Fuel pump cutting out. let me know if changing the filter helps at all.

May want to scan it with VAG-COM before doing any work. It could point to fuel supply, air supply, or ignition so you don't need to guess.

Good point. Now I just need to find someone with a VAG-COM and the time to meet up with them.....
