no load meaning just no bar, or front wheels of the groudn too?

im envisioning the car on jackstands on the rear subframe points.
 
with no bar. the body should flex to its neutral position. then weld...and reinstall the bar. you may need an alignment afterwards.

i'd be interested in hearing what will thinks.

the suspension is new, and I haven't had an alignment in a long long time. So the idea is to get welded, fix my broken strut cap, get aligned. All by next weekend.

be sure to paint the welds afterwards...and be before you get it welded...
 
you may want to clean the engine bay some :P
