Default What do you mean diy ingition core? I have replaced the ingition switch, but I have a feeling that

isn't what you are talking about. What is the ignition core?

Default ignition lock core where the key goes into..

if that makes more sense the will turn foward to start position but wont come all the way back to off position...so it wont come out... i was origionally thinking it was the lock core but if the "ingition switch" was bad would it cause this problem too?

Default Audi had a recall for defective/breaking ignition switches

You may want to call AOA to see if this work was performed on your car, could be the cause of your problem if it wasn't.

Default When my ingition switch went bad the first time, it was hard for me to get my key out.

After a day or two the starter wouldn't disengage after I started the car. If that happens, I would say it is definately the ignition switch.

If you do buy a new ignition switch, DO NOT buy one from online unless it is an OEM Audi part. My online ignition switch that i bought failed within a month. I purchased it from a well-liked vendor as well.
