I like the z-flow's better than standard FMIC's
think of it this way, it's got more surface area to cover which will give you better cooling. I'm not sure how much cooler but I do know factually they work better. It's a more efficient way to cool the air.

i hear the vertical design works better for throttle response/turbo lag as well

It just had better cooling since the air has less space to travel thru the short core
bad thing is that the inlet side of the core is usually at the top which means it sits behind the bumper while the cold side is at the bottom.

Not for absolute power
1. They do not cool as well as a proper sized horizontal cooler.
2. They definitely don't flow what people claim. |
