Front Brake Rattle
The driver's side front brake rattles whenever I go over any bumps, even the smallest size holes or cracks. I know it is the brake because if I am applying the brake, there is no sound at all. I have visually inspected the brakes and have found nothing, even went as far as changing the outer spring. The time has finally come to change the brakes. Other than pads and rotors, are there any other parts I should consider buying to correct this annoying sound? Please help. Thanks!

It sounds like it could be your control arms are shot. Look at the rubber bushings throughout

I had a car kick my butt for weeks with this problem. It was the heat/dust shield behind the rotor. I put a few sticky wheel weights on it and the noise went away. Very odd

Are you sure its not the rears? rears more commonly do this when one of the springs is sticking through the hole in the calipers.

It is definately the drivers front wheel. I don't think it is the control arms because there is no noise when the brake is applied. Also, the bushings look good and there was no play when I checked the wheel. I am ordering the pads and rotors soon so when I have it apart I'll get a better look at whats going on.
