Front/Mid/Rear Diff Transmission Flush?
Hi all,
I've got a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro with a manual transmission.
I recently went to a local VW/Audi shop and they quoted me for a transmission and diff flush. They said I have to do the transmission (front diff), the mid diff, and the rear diff, and they're all separate. They even quoted them as separate jobs. Fast forward to earlier this week, I put the car up myself and flushed the transmission (front diff) and rear diff. I didn't see any drain point on the mid diff while under there, and the Bentley Manual doesn't say anything about it either.
Now I'm wondering if I didn't complete the job. Did I missed something? Do I need to buy more diff fluid and get back under there and flush the mid diff out? Do the front and mid diffs share the same fluid? What gives?
