I need to replace the fuel supply line that connects to my fuel rail on 1998 Audi A4 30V, because it is leaking at the factory crimp of the flare nut connector to the hose. The dealer's parts department has quoted me an outrageous price to get another fuel supply line even though I only need a short distance across the engine bay to metal piping.

What solutions are suggested for my problem? For example, are there fuel injection nipples available which will screw onto the Audi fuel rail so I can just clamp at the connection instead? Can you get me a substitute fuel supply line with the flare nut connection? Is it possible to re-crimp my existing flare nut connector or remove the factory crimping mechanism of the connector piece so that it can be clamped to a new fuel hose instead?

I would find a place that can do custom lines. Probably hydraulic or so.

In my town the Napa store has a machine shop attached. I've seen them put together lines and fittings for people. Just look in the phone book and call around.

Or you can get the part number and try some of the other OEM vendor places like purems and some other vendors, the other's people names escape me at the moment. If it were me I would try to stick to the oem application for reliability.
