Gas Pipe Problem?
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/18260/p1010292.jpg"></center><p>I was at the gas station to refill my '01 A4 today. I unscrewed the gas cap and went about inserting the nozzle into the gas downpipe. I felt some resistance. I only could insert the nozzle about 1/2 as much as normal. I removed the nozzle and looked down the pipe.
I was expecting to see a flat piece of aluminum (movable)capping the pipe, but noticed something which I don't think I remember seeing - a plastic piece covering the gas pipe (I have marked it with a red dot in the picture).
I was worried that this would not allow me to properly fuel my car. I slowly pumped about 5 gallons in and it took the gas no problem.
Am I going crazy? Resistance inserting the nozzle and a piece that I dont' remember seeing normally?
