Getting switchblade key for pre-98 cars

107-837-246-B-CUT Key part (part that pops out)
$42.00 from dealership
4D0-837-231-D-01C Remote part (2 buttons)
$54.95 from dealership
The key part requires that you bring along your car's title so that they can get the info off of it.

My '96 has a toothed key, not the square kind. Will this work for me, too? I've heard that...
some people with '97's still have the square key - they're just not the switchblade type.
