going to do a timing belt repacement how necessary is the camshaft holder tool?

Default I don't believe that the thing is super necessay.

pending on how much it is I would do it cause you can really screw up your timing and just cause some general problems

The cam shaft holder is "needed" if you loosen the cam sprockets. I've change the timing belt with &amp; without loosening the cam sprockets.
You will find others who have done the job without the special tools!
