Default H&R coil-over vs. Koni Coil-overs...???

Which would you go with if the price is similar?
Pros and Cons of each one?
Thanks

If the price is similar, go with the H&R's.

Default IMHO Incorrect...

The Koni parts have considerably more linear compression damping Vs piston velocity profiles than the gas based absorbers. The best way I can describe it w/o getting all techie is to say that with the Bilstein setups you, "crash" into every little road anomaly...reflectors are not merely heard, but also felt. With the Koni shocks sharp transients are absorbed in a more reserved fashion...the shock does not shoot up to ridiculous compression damping figures when presented with moderate to high piston speeds produced by normal day to day road perturbations unlike gas pressure based shock absorbers.

I strongly favor Koni, or hydraulic dampers in the more general sense...I've had reasonable experiance with both kinds...a total of approx 6 suspension systems on the B5/A4...and have come to the conclustion that the Koni setup will ride better on real roads...with ZERO negative impact on handling.

Regards,

Default the Koni's have adjustable dampening for the shocks...

something the H&R's don't have. Both are ride height adjustable. If it were my decision, I'd probably get the Koni's.

Default Can't comment on it anymore really cause I've taken them off I have the Stasis Coilovers on the car

now...I was never really happy with the old setup...the spring rates were simply too low for how the car is setup. 250/260 lbs or so, rode very nicely...but just didn't have the roll resistance that I wanted.

I had the Koni's set to 70% but they were installed for me, and I have reason to suspect they weren't adjusted properly in light of some new information I have about how the adjuster works. The Stasis setup...which I've had on the car for a day or two now is, PHENOMINAL...I wanna give it a week to settle in...re-adjust the ride and get an alignment before I post my final impressions...but so far VERY VERY good.

Regards,
