Has anyone else blown Bilstein Sport shocks? I've blown two and they're four years old.

This seems very odd to me, especially after my mechanic telling me he's only seen one EVER blow. What could cause this? Just bad luck? I don't hit big potholes or go fast over speed bumps. I just can't figure out why this would be. Thank goodness they're waranteed. They have about 80,000 miles on them.

Yep, one here. Leaked oil down the shock body.....couldn't miss it.

You don't remember hitting a big pothole or anything? How many miles on it? Thanks.

Nahh, never noticed an impact that blew it. I think it was just something that happened over time.

Can't even remember how many miles were on it....I wasn't even the original owner so I don't know exactly when it went on. If I had to guess I'd say ~75K.
