Headlight switch died?
I drove home from work, lights fine. Parked it for about an hour, went to run to the bank, no headlights. Interior, park, etc still work. So from the threads and the tech section it seems that I will taking my wheel off tomorrow to cut some plastic and patch it back together.
One question I have, my alignment is fine, drives down the road straight, but the wheel is off center to the right about 5*.
Will I totally screw things up if I center the wheel when I put it back together?

So one more question 4D;
My remote doesn't work, and I only have 1 key, the one that appears to have a chip in it, but doesn't open the trunk.
While I have the steering column apart, can I remove the mechanical portion of the ignition, thus allowing me to leave the key on via screw driver, while I exit and lock/unlock with key to reprogram my remote?
And P.S.
I took your advice and got the right antifreeze, only to find that the douche before me had switched at some point to green. I few water flushes, and radiator flush treatments later, I had clear water in there. The g12 from oreily's full strength so the price wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and all is write with the Audi.
I figured with 30K posts, I better listen to you.

There are 2 alignment dots, which can't line up perfectly, it's either slightly left, or slightly right. It was slightly right when I took it off, so I moved it 1 tooth left when I put it back on. Alignment would fix the issue but I'll live with it for now.
