Default Help with code Rough Road/Engine Torque signal from ABS

18014 - Rough Road/Engine Torque Signal from ABS: Electrical Malfunction
P1606 - 35-00 - -

Is this basically the ABS computer? The ABS computer is only a year old out of a junkyard, so I have my old one ready to be sent out and rebuilt if that's what needs to be done. Of course my MAF died as well..all this happens right before inspection. Thanks.

I've had problems with my car, but it's a TIP car.. I think misfires can trigger that code, as can other issues with the engine ECU. Any codes present in the ECU?

I always have some misfires. When I reset the ECU, the code comes back immediately so I'm thinking it might not be misfire related. I guess I might have to just go with trial and error on a rebuilt ABS computer.

Wheel bearings or cleaning the ABS sensor can fix that as well.

If it comes right back like that it's most likely the ABS computer - if the code comes back without even driving it (no wheel movement) then it would have to be the computer or a signal/wire to it etc. I would put $$ on the computer being fubar. BBA Reman here it comes.

Most times it comes up immediately after turning the key. Every now and then it takes driving the car around a couple minutes to trigger it. I talked to module master and he said it's probably not something that can be fixed in the computer, even if it's the computer. I'll send it to him and see what he says.

I can't connect to the ABS computer. I don't see any values in blocks 125 and 126.
