Help Diagnosing Problem Please - Steering Problem
This is from a 2001 A4, 78k, on Koni for most of its life.
Since last year, I've been getting a moderate amount of noise when steering at low speeds, ex. during parking. You can hear almost a creaking sound from the front. I'm pretty sure its not from the steering column. The noise doesnt sound good, almost as if a bar is about to snap or something. I'm thinking its a bad boot or joint.
I'll have it on the lift this weekend. Any suggestions on what I should look for specifically?

Check this link out......
It is on an S4, but it's the same on an a4. It shows you what to look for on the top, but remember that the same can occur on the two bottom arms as well. So do the same wiggle test while looking at the lowers as well.
