Help! Glasses Caught in Seat Track

I know this sounds stupid, but... I have a pair of clip-on sunglasses that slipped between the driver's seat and the console. I reached in to get them and ended up pushing them further into the track that allows the seat to move back and forth. I can not get my hands far enough in to reach them.
Anyone else have this problem? Can the seat be removed easily? I have a '98.5 2.8QM if it makes any difference.

I had the *exact* same problem. First, the answer is yes. The seat is fairly easy to remove. Before you get there maybe you can try to move the seat to all extreme ranges again. I gave up and tried again in the morning with success. FWIW, I find the seat setup more conducive to trapping smaller items than previous cars. Most often, I lose my key/fob combo there. Let us know what works for you. The tong idea sounds good. Maybe one of the telescoping magentized bolt retrievers will do the trick?
Regards,
Searl

Be carefull when you pull them out. I once got a pen logdged in the seat rails of my 1.8tm, and while trying to remove it discovered that the inside of the rails are filled with a vasoline-like grease. You don't want to get that stuff everywhere.
Dave M
