Default HELP me please.....

ok herres the situation, i was driving on the highway at about 75 or so when i heard a loud shreeking sound then it almost felt like i had a flat, i pulled over...nothing so i got back in kept drivng thne my car had no power after like 3000 rpms it would jut kick and id have to change gear whatever it is came from the passeneger side because the person that was sitting there felt something near her feet she said i looked under the car noting...what happened? anyone have any ideas? please help me

like after around 3000 rpms if i press the gas the car literally kicks and it wouldnt increase in speed till i changed to a higher gear

Default if the rpm needle is super slow and at a consistent rate then its probably the turbo

if it dies out at some rpm then it might be electrical/ignition

i would also think the *ticking* maybe coming from a collapsed cat conv guts

Default maybe limp mode...i had a blown turbo and...

the only downside was the car was veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy slow. no other symptoms than that. i eventually k04'd. hope this helps.

Default another easy possibility

sounds like it could be a bad plug wire. Except for the events leading up to the problem (shreeking, feels like a flat) the kicking symptom is very similar to what happened to my GTi. I had one of my cables (new ones too) broken and arcing against the head, causing bucking under acceleration, especially at higher RPM. Though my problem also exhibited itself sometimes at lower rpm. It felt like it was "cutting out"

Shreiking to me usually sounds like a belt problem. That combined with a feeling of a flat tire sounds like it could be power steering type of problem...but that doesn't explain the engine problems. Maybe you lost a belt?

Guys, is there a belt that runs the power steering that would affect his engine as well?? Sorry for my ignorance. Just wanted to throw some more ideas out there.
Good luck, a good shop will figure it out.
