Default Help ! Need advice for how to fit S4 wheels on stock 15" 1.8T , plus tire advice .

Hi there , can someone give me advice on what needs to be done to fit S4 17" wheels on my 1.8T with stock wheels and stock suspension . Is an offset needed , stuff like that , and what is the normal price of a set of S4 wheels , and also what are the best tires to fit that will be good in the wet and indeed snow . And finally how much should I get If I was to sell my 15" wheels with goodyear tires . I am going to look tomorrow at them , so if I could get some advice before that it would be great .
Your help is appreciated , thanks guys .

Default Nothing

Remove stock wheels...bolt on S4 Avus wheels (you'll probably need different lug bolts, see if you can get them with the wheels). That's it. If course the question is why? Yeah, they look pretty good, but they're overpriced and rather heavy. Check the classifieds here for a price. For tires, in all seasons, I'd go with Dunlop SP5000's. But, why not put summer tires (SP8000's or Bridgestone RE730's are both a bargain, Bridgestone S02 PP's, or Michelin MXX3's if you feel like spending that much money) on them and save your stock wheels and tires for the snow (the all seasons will do, til they wear out, then slap some snows onto them). You probably won't get much for your 15" wheels, but you might ask around, as there was someone posting recently that they didn't want the sports package wheels and tires, but rather the stock all seasons, because of year round, and wife considerations. If you swap for the stock sport wheels and tires, you could probably get some money for those (again, check the classifieds to see what they're going for).
Regards,
Rodney

Default you don't even need different lug bolts. They're totallly fittable in every way as I've seen on mine

Default Don't forget...

That horrible wheel gap that you see now will appear even worse with larger wheels. So, make sure you can fit a new suspension into your budget.
98.5 A4 1.8TQT Melange/Onyx

Default Nope, it's pretty much the same car. (S4 diff. suspension, bigger brakes, and of course 2.7T)
