help with part number: 8D0 837 153 please help me identify this part
I don't have an ETKA on this computer at my folk's place.
I ordered a rear passenger side window regulator from Shokan to replace my current broken one, and I found this part included in the box, but I cannot figure out where it goes/what it does. It looks like a file with a hole for a screw that extends down it. The part has "DUO" written on it also.
8D0 837 153 DUO might be the suffix.
Thanks a bunch

DUO is a vendor code (who makes it and sells it to VW/Audi)
post a pic of it if you can.
impex's site says its an ADJT BAR... which sounds a lot like adjustment bar.
cheap part under $3.

Ok here's a picture. somewhat blurry but good enough.

I'm wondering if it's something necessary/or to be used to replace a window regulator. The part is small, about a couple inches long, fits in the palm of your hand. Thanks much.

May I ask, how is that part used to adjust the upper door frame?
I'm about to just pull the entire frame from the inside of the door to get to the regulator, since it seems to be bolted to the back of the frame. Or else do you know how exactly it is replaced? Seems kinda difficult, and seems that the regulator is RIVETED in place.

thanks a bunch for all your help phil
window regulator is now replaced!!!
It took quite a bit of work for me. phew. Mostly it took a long time for me to drill out the rivets. My window is finally working fine, after at least a year of not working. The whole process took like 2 hours for me to replace the regulator. It really shouldnt have taken THAT long though, but now I know next time it'll go faster. i HOPE there isnt a next time though of course.
