Help!!!! undetermined boost problem......
Well, I have a 1 bar Wett chip in my Audi A4 98.5 1.8TQ. I usually get pretty good boost. Then one day it just stop producing that high boost. So I took it to a shop and they took it apart practically looking for the problem. They checked the turbo, wastegate, DV, feul flow, cat converter, and everything looked fine. Now they suggested that it could be a programming failure. Could this be it? I mean does programming malfunctions happen? And if it does, what can i do to fix the problem of lack of boost? I also hear a low humming noise when I should be getting boost. The problem is that the 1st and 2nd gear doesn't produce the max boost it should (around 11psi) and doesn't hold. The other gears seem to hold the boost but there is still the lack of power. HELP!!!!

That's normal after you clear ECU codes. Drive around for a while, they'll complete.
You can also do the item "tests" as outlined in the service manual to speed up the test completion. But they all should set to complete in about 20 minutes of driving (assuming nothing is wrong...)
